We, the members of the Williamstown Volunteer Fire Department, dedicate our efforts to protect the environment and the lives & property of the residents and visitors of our community.

 We will accomplish our mission by becoming increasingly knowledgeable and proficient in fire suppression, rescue and other related activities and by promoting fire prevention through public education.

 We will actively participate in our community, serve as role models and strive to effectively utilize all of the necessary resources available to provide a service deemed excellent by our citizens.

The Williamstown Volunteer Fire department is now accepting applications for part-time firefighters.  Application packets can be obtained at the Williamstown City Building, located at 400 North Main Street, Williamstown, KY 41097 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Part-time hours with possible call back, this position is not eligible for overtime.  Hourly rate of $9.00.  Position is not eligible for benefits and is limited to 24 hours weekly.  Minimum requirements for the position include but are not limited to: Valid KY Driver's License, ability to pass background check and drug and alcohol screening, must possess a high school diploma or GED, must be 150 hour Kentucky Certified Firefighter, must possess a current state or National EMT-B Certification and must be physically able to perform job duties.
